R.I.P Tony and Maria Jaimes

"The two were found dead inside a motel room, the victims of a murder-suicide at the hands of their father." That is how I found out about their death. I was in the kitchen when I heard about them. I didn't see the picture so I thought it was a little messed up what the dad had done. Then I looked at the picture they had, and all I did was stare at it, i couldn't believe it i didn't want to either. My mom looked at me and she was calling me but i couldn't hear anything. I was shocked and then I pour out into tears. I had this feeling inside i was mad at their dad for killing two innocent lives, but I couldn't really do anything but to show support for their mom. Now there is left to do is remember the good times about them. Their smiles and their laughter. They were good people even though at their home they didn't live the perfect life they would always brighten other people's day. I didn't know Maria  as Much i knew Tony but they were happy kids. I know now they are in a safe place where no one can harm them, and for their dad I have no words to say about him. But I will never forget those words that were said that night  "The deaths of two San Diego children who were shot by their father at a National City motel before he took his own life. No suicide note was found at the Paradise Motel on National City Boulevard where the bodies of the 16-year-old boy and his 11-year-old sister were found about 10 a.m. Tuesday, National City police Sgt. Julian Villagomez said. The children, identified as Marco “Tony” Jaimes and Maria Angelica Jaimes, were in bed asleep, Sgt. Estela Cordero said.The body of their father, identified as 38-year-old Maurillo Jaimes Soto, was lying on the floor next to them, a gun next to his body."

ORGANIC?

Nutrition and eating healthy? yeah that question doesn't really pass through children and teens mind. We teens normally want to fast food restaurants and eating all these stuff that have a lot of chemicals.
My ideas about nutrition and eating healthy is people knowing their amount of food and how they manage their food. Every food has their good stuff and bad stuff. It is just a matter of how you eat it.
Organic for me it means food that I planted or man-made stuff.
Yes I do know what gluten is found in grains.
i think that the reason why people are so concerned about the health of American children is because there is a lot of fast food restaurants that all they eat is that, or even because sometimes kids like to eat pure junk food so all they eat is what they want.
No i do not know what GMO's are. I can eat in a healthier way,maybe by eating calories or maybe even carbs according to what my age is. One way I can do to make changes in my life are to eat healthier and maybe more organic.

therapist for children and adolescents

I only have a short and long time goal; and that is to become a therapist for children and adolescents. and to build up a foster home. My site will help me with my goals because that way I can see how adolescents act, and even though I am only like a year or some months older than them, we all act differentlly. With the children it is different because obviously there isnt little kids at SDHS but at my old school i worked with little kids. And i enjoy being around them and checking everything they do it is very interesting, how the motor skills work with them. With the adolescents it is different because they do things differently and some you have to pay close attention in order to know what some have. But that can hlp me with the foster home because that way i can know wether something is happening in the foster care with one an other. So I think my site will help me in a lot of ways.

BE CAREFUL

last Wednesday we had a guest speaker came into our personal growth class, her name is Tracy; she talked about how the internet can affect us in the future. More like the media in general. to be honest it wasn't my first time to hear that, but when she said it and put herself as an example I got more into it and she gave more information. I was shocked to hear that in took her a long time to erase all the rumors they were saying about her in Google. As soon as she said that the first thing i did when I got home was check my Facebook because it is the number one website everyone looks at. When she said that it can affect us when ever we want to get a job it really got to me. So now I pay close attention to what I do and what I post because I don't know when the moment can come and people can surprise me.

SUNDAY

Sunday I went to the taco shop and that was $3.75, and that was it for the weekend because everything was bought except that 

FRIDAY

On Friday in the morning I went to starbucks and got myself a Venti caramel frappuccino that was $5 later on that day i went to forever 21 and bought my cousin a shirt that was $15 and my sister a nail polish that was $2.50. That night we went to skateworld and afterwards we went to starbicks again and that was $4.35 so in total that day i wasted $26.85.

THURSDAY

For my personal growth class we were asked to keep track of our money and how much we spend for two weekdays and one weekend. So for Tursday i bought my sister a Grande vanilla bean that is a medium which was like $4 in total. Then I bought myself like two Arizona drinks that was $2.16 for the day of Thursday in total I only wasted $6.16

1st impression

as my site i am working at SDHS ASB. First impression was that there was a lot of students from the school actually there helping their school and having some spirit. My expectations as i work there are, to interact with the students and the teachers. So far everything is going good. thanks to Brenda i am getting to know students. What I do in the site is whatever they tell me to do. So far some price scholars and i have moved some boxes that were in a little room, that by the way were heavy, we also had to decorate a wall and we went to go do community service at qualcomm while the Chargers were playing :)
I really like the site I have right now. Even though at the beginning I was having my doubts and since I love to work with little kids i really wanted to work at Rosa parks, but tried out SDHS and I liked it.

Reading :)

The only books I have actually opened and read completely are A Child Called It and The Last Song. I am not the type of person that likes to read, but in college it is mostly about reading and writing.When I started the SRP program we started by reading a book called The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom. When I heard of it i thought it was going to be boring and not interested. Once I started to read more into it, I didn't want to stop reading it. This book really changed my mind about reading. Like the quote "never judge a book by it's cover" it really did go with me, because I always tend to do that and end up not reading it. Now I know, in college there will be a lot of books that may look boring, but I will never know if I don't try and read it.

T E A M W O R K !!

Team isn't based on just one person. Team is based on a lot of people that are willing to help each other, without arguments but just putting everyone's ideas together and combining them to become one huge idea. The reason why I chose this picture is because in football, soccer, volleyball, basketball etc. (in mostly every sport) you need your team. without them there wouldn't be winner. you work together, you stay together. in English class we did a poster on The Hunger Games. We worked as a team and we finished faster than just making two people do it or just one. i think that by working in groups you get more work done, more faster, and it makes it easier for everyone.

this poem has more meaning to it than just what you see here. When I saw the movie Precious Knowledge it got to me as an AB-540 students it isn't easy watching these type of things.Trying to keep your education isn't a crime. people should get their acts together and think right. If a student is motivated by learning things from their past like where do they come from, I personally think that is okay. The teachers aren't teaching the students to hate America but they are teaching the student the history.

what if.....

What if i were to blame you for every bad decision i made? what if you were someone i look up to, and because you said something and i went ahead and committed a crime; and now they blame you. how would you feel? i know what you would say "well it isn't my fault she did it, just because i said something doesn't mean she should do it. I read an article that Marilyn Manson wrote about himself and how he feels about the media. In 1999 they accused him that because of he's music two students killed other students. The world has gone crazy and all they do is blame each other for our own fault. We need to get our act together and stop blaming others for our actions.

OH NO! WILL HE MAKE IT?

Now that I got your attention....  I will explain what a cliff hanger is. first thing, it is a story telling device. it leave the reader hungry encouraging the reader to keep reading. A cliff hanger includes dramatic scenes, suspense and excitement.An example of a cliff hanger is like in the book of "The Hunger Games" where they announce that two tributes can win. Also when Peeta reveals his love for Katniss is a suspenseful moment because we want to know how the crowd acts and how she acts.

My American Dream..

Many people have their own American dreams, my American dream is to open up a foster home and help other people, and my community. I think that my American dream isn’t hard to achieved, all I have to do is finish College with good grades and a good record. Also finish a 4 year college and finish that. The government can help me because the United States protects the children so they can help me out by that. In conclusion everyone achieved their dreams by beleiving in them selfs and by having their rights. The women got the right to vote and up to this point they all have equality with everyone. The children’s have educations now and go to school every year for 8 months, for 5 days a week. They have many opportunities too. The union workers have their own rights and their works are safe now, and they get paid good.

Lesson worth knowing..

I've learned many lessons through out my whole life. In the SRP though, taught me many lessons that I will put in practice and keep in mind. One lesson that caught my attention is the victim vs. the creator. That catch my attention because i used to be a victim, i would always put excuses and complain. After reading what that meant and being a scholar i knew i had to stop and that this was the real deal. No more "i forgot my homework," or "i got home late and i fell asleep". I knew i needed to step it up and become a creator.

a new Chapter in my life..

My summer begins a little like this "ah dang it, i don't have vacation, i have to start the SRP this Monday coming up!" That was me June !3, to be honest i was upset i wasn't going to have vacations.  I was upset over the fact my friends went to the beach without me and all these fun things i heard. Now i think about it and say "i am lucky i have the SRP, i will be ahead of everyone else, i won''t be shy, i have an update on professors and I know most of the students already." The SRP is to help me gain more knowledge and to become a creator and not a be a victim.
